History

Delta Dental of North Carolina is one of the largest providers of dental benefits in the state. With over 150,000 providers in our dental network nationwide, we focus on what truly matters – serving North Carolina communities with high-quality, affordable dental benefits plans and easy access to oral care.

Delta Dental of North Carolina is a member of the Delta Dental Plans Association, America’s largest and most experienced dental benefits system.  Members of the Delta Dental Plans Association provide combined coverage to more than 89 million Americans and operate two of the nation’s largest networks of participating dentists.

The Delta Dental Foundation is a nonprofit, charitable organization, established in 1980, which serves as the philanthropic arm of Delta Dental of North Carolina.  It supports education and research for the advancement of dental science. The Foundation also helps promote oral health to the public through direct oral health services or oral health education, particularly for underserved and rural communities across North Carolina.
