Delta Dental invested $119 million to improve oral health across communities nationwide, impacting over 15 million lives

Delta Dental's 2024 Community Impact Report showcases our efforts to improve oral health as the nation's largest oral health philanthropist.

RALEIGH — June 4, 2025 —

Today, the Delta Dental Institute released its 2024 Community Impact Report, highlighting more than $119 million in investments to improve oral health across all 50 states, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico. These efforts impacted over 15 million lives, reinforcing Delta Dental's role as the nation's largest oral health philanthropist.

Delta Dental's community impact investments focused on closing oral health care gaps for older adults, veterans, and rural communities while strengthening oral health education for children. These investments bring Delta Dental's total community contributions over the past 15 years to more than $2.3 billion, a testament to our long-standing mission to advance oral and overall health.

In North Carolina, Delta Dental invested $490,551, impacting more than 73,462 people, through programs and initiatives such as High Country Community Health in Avery County.

“These investments in community are vital in helping our partners to be resilient, especially when faced with the impact of Hurricane Helene, like many of our grantees in Western, NC. Foundation grants allow them to continue caring for their patients, by providing necessary dental care and the support that they need,” said Curt Ladig, President & CEO, Delta Dental of North Carolina.
